The day we landed in France:

• Him: No Mama! Don’t make me wear a black tee-shirt!
• Me: But why??
• Him: It attracts mosquitoes!

My French-Indian 6 year old boy and his Indian grandma about washing cars:

• Him: Daddi, Daddi, let’s wash the car together!
• Daddi: But Babu, what will the neighbors think??
• Him: It doesn’t matter, here, take a sponge!

She actually does care about what people think AND that washing cars is a degrading activity. So many mind blocks... Now imagine if I was washing the car in my bikini!

My French-Indian 6 year old boy on language:

• Him: Mama, what do we celebrate on 15^th of August?
• Me: It’s India’s Independence Day, the day the British left India.
• Him: But why do we celebrate? Isn’t it rather sad?
• Me: How so?
• Him: Me I speak English and I like English language. So it would be nice if English people were still here!
