My French-Indian 6 year old boy on language:
- Him: Mama, what do we celebrate on 15th of August?
- Me: It’s India’s Independence Day, the day the British left India.
- Him: But why do we celebrate? Isn’t it rather sad?
- Me: How so?
- Him: Me I speak English and I like English language. So it would be nice if English people were still here!
